Where does my API key actually go?

We hold no keys of our own — no pool, no storage, no logs. In the desktop app the engine runs on your own machine at 127.0.0.1, so a key travels from your computer straight to the provider. In the browser we are moving calls to go direct: 4 providers measurably allow it, 5 refuse cross-origin browser calls and stay on the desktop. Until a provider is marked direct in the app, its calls pass through our server for that single request — never stored, never logged, never placed in a URL.

Do you train on my scripts, or keep them?

No, and we keep no project database. Your scripts, decisions and prompts live in your own browser storage and your exports. When an AI action needs your material, it goes to the model provider you chose — we do not retain it, and we have nothing of yours to hand over to anyone.

What exactly is “deterministic” here?

The shot plan, not the render. The same selections produce a byte-identical master prompt and a decision trace you can diff — proven by executing the compiler against committed golden fingerprints. We do not claim the video model returns identical frames: providers change seed behaviour between releases, and one point release invalidated saved seeds outright. Anyone promising you identical renders is promising something they do not control.

Can I browse the full genome tree?

No — the tree browser is not part of the product. You get its output, not its map: compatible concepts join your scenes from Storyboard and Master Prompt, camera, lens and light stay adjustable, and every applied concept still carries its source. We would rather say this plainly than ship a locked screen that advertises something you cannot open.

No. Studio is built for previsualization — communicating intent with cinematic control before an expensive shoot. The reproducible pipeline is the asset; as video models mature, it is already in place and pointed at whichever model you choose.
